Each week you'll be emailed a short reading in preparation for the next week's session. (No worries if mom life gets in the way of completing the reading because each session will begin with a short presentation of that personality framework. Just showing up is enough!)
At the heart of this group is a connection-first approach to parenting. Based on attachment research, a securely attached parent-child relationship offers our children both a safe haven at home with us and a secure base from which to explore the world. In Connection-Focused Parenting, combining boundaries with a deeply caring and responsive relationship provides our children with both roots and wings.
Here's what moms from past groups shared about their experience:

Hi! I'm Jessica Baptiste, the creator of the Parenting & Personality Growth-Focused Discussion Group, and I'm so glad you're here!Have you ever found yourself in baffling conflicts with your kids where you've wondered in frustration, "What are they thinking?" and "Why did this parenting technique work on one kid but not their sibling?"As a mom of four kids ages 5-12, I certainly have. And as a certified Enneagram coach, I've loved experiencing firsthand how learning more about our kids' personalities (as well as our own) can provide us with tailored insights to help us understand and connect with the unique small humans it's our gift to raise!Combining my background in teaching (an M.A. in Second Language Studies) with my passion for coaching and my experience as a mom, I've brought together parenting resources from the Enneagram with four other popular personality frameworks (Myers-Briggs, The Highly Sensitive Child, The Four Tendencies, and the Five Love Languages of Children) to help us explore how we and our kids are hardwired so we can nurture their true selves and foster a home environment where they can flourish and grow.
